The unit worked OK for the first year. Toast is NOT it’s strong suit as toasting is very uneven and the top toasting pattern seldom looks like the bottom. After about 8 months I had trouble getting the door to close completely, very annoying. Then about a month ago it lost all ability to control the degree of heat. No matter what setting it is on the unit defaults to FULL BLAST. First noticed when my smoke alarm went off after a bagel was incinerated beyond recognition!
Currently resides in my trash can……

While I liked all of the features of this oven it has a significant problem. The guides for the wire rack and bake pan are only at the front and back sides of the oven. Consequently, when you pull the rack out slightly it has a strong tendency to tip forward or backwards which would cause hot liquid to spill back into the oven or forward on the users hands. As much as I like this toaster oven for it’s features it’s being returned.

I’ve had this very oven for about 3 years with no problems. However, my heavy-handed husband has broken the middle dial (the one that sets the timer or turns on until you turn it off). He didn’t know it was unplugged and used force on the knob unnecessarily. I am in search of a replacement of the same (stainless - not black), but it’s been hard to find. So, I thought I’d try another model, but everything out there seems to be convection (which I do not want); does not have the interior light (which is WONDERFUL!!); and/or does not pop-out the tray/rack when you open the oven door (DELIGHTFUL FEATURE). So, I’ve become spoiled and am now on the hunt for the same Delonghi that I had. The cool sides are great. The size is perfect. You can cook everything from a whole chicken to a full-sized pizza, and the interior light keeps you from having to open the door too much to check on the food’s progress. My only complaint would be that I would have liked to receive two oven racks instead of one in the box; one for the bottom and one for the top, so that I can bake two levels at the same time. Even so, I give it a 5-star.
