I was reading reviews before shopping for a toast oven and remembered reading the one about the annoying beeping sounds. I could not remember though which model it was when shopping. I ended up purchasing the Delonghi DO400 and was excited to try it out. I plugged it in and then remembered it was the one with the loud beeps. Well after I came to my senses I realized that it was no louder then my microwave beeping or oven timer. It also was very easy to adjust the toaster level from defaut L4 to L1, seriously easy as 1,2,3. I felt compelled to let people know this, because that video demonstrating the use and loudness is really a little dramatic. It is a very nice looking oven, easy to use and I am happy I made the purchase.

This is an OK product. I expected it to be a much better quality. It does the job…but I wouldn’t say it’s any better than a $30 toasted oven. I have heard so many great things about DeLonghi and will give them another try. However, I would pass this product in particular up if/when we need another toaster oven.

WHY does this thing have to make such loud sounds?? You have to press buttons 4 times to make toast, and at the end there are 3 more loud beeps. Kinda like a squeal. So if you want to get up early and have toast, this could wake other people in the house especially if you are in an apartment. I’m sorry I threw away the box or I would return it.

I bought this toaster over as a christmas present for my mom last year. After 1 month the timer stopped working. I called Delonghi and they told me to take it to an authorized service center which was luckily down the street from my work. I got it back in a week and gave it back to my mom.
Now, just after the 1 year warranty was up, it completely stopped working. I’m going to toss that POS in the trash and get her a new one. The other reviews are correct too. It has a very flimsy construction with very weak looking plastic knobs. DON’T BUY THIS TOASTER OVEN!!!!

I’ve had this very oven for about 3 years with no problems. However, my heavy-handed husband has broken the middle dial (the one that sets the timer or turns on until you turn it off). He didn’t know it was unplugged and used force on the knob unnecessarily. I am in search of a replacement of the same (stainless - not black), but it’s been hard to find. So, I thought I’d try another model, but everything out there seems to be convection (which I do not want); does not have the interior light (which is WONDERFUL!!); and/or does not pop-out the tray/rack when you open the oven door (DELIGHTFUL FEATURE). So, I’ve become spoiled and am now on the hunt for the same Delonghi that I had. The cool sides are great. The size is perfect. You can cook everything from a whole chicken to a full-sized pizza, and the interior light keeps you from having to open the door too much to check on the food’s progress. My only complaint would be that I would have liked to receive two oven racks instead of one in the box; one for the bottom and one for the top, so that I can bake two levels at the same time. Even so, I give it a 5-star.
