I GOT THIS TOASTER OVEN LAST WEEK AND SO FAR I AM PLEASED. I DO, HOWEVER, HAVE A FEW NEGATIVE COMMENTS. FIRST THE LACK OF A CLOCK. WHEN THE UNIT IS PLUGGED IN AND NOT BEING USED IT READS ZEROES WHERE A CLOCK SHOULD BE. I JUST UNPLUG MINE BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO SEE THE ZEROES BUT A CLOCK WOULD BE A BIG IMPROVEMENT. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO HAVE A PREHEAT FEATURE. I HAD A MUCH SMALLER TOASTER OVEN BEFORE I GOT THIS ONE SO IT HEATED TO THE DESIRED TEMP VERY QUICKLY. WITH THIS OVEN AND IT’S MUCH BIGGER INTERIOR, I AM USING IT FOR THINGS I ALWAYS USED MY REGULAR OVEN FOR IN THE PAST. IT TAKES 10-15 MINUTES TO PREHEAT AND 10-15 MINUTES LONGER TO DO THE ACTUAL COOKING/BAKING SO YOU HAVE TO ADD ALL THIS EXTRA TIME WHEN YOU’RE SETTING THE TIMER—-KIND OF A PAIN. I HAVEN’T USED THE WARMER YET BUT I’M SURE IT WILL COME IN HANDY. ONE THING I DID DO WAS BUY AN OVEN LINER. [...] CARRIES ONE SPECIFICALLY FOR TOASTER OVENS BUT I BOUGHT ONE FOR A STANDARD OVEN AND CUT IT TO FIT THE CRUMB TRAY, THE BOTTOM OF THE WARMING COMPARTMENT AND THE WARMING TRAY. THIS SHOULD KEEP THE INTERIOR CLEANER LONGER. HOPE MY REVIEW IS HELPFUL.

black and decker toaster oven cto6301 Resources Blog
I have owned this oven for 3 months now after our 12 yr old Cuisinart died. I chose Black & Decker because it would hold a 9×13 pan and 6 pieces of toast, and was half the price of a new Cuisinart. We use this oven for baking or toasting every day. I have never broiled meat in it, but it broils vegetables just fine. It toasts okay and bakes evenly. If you bake in a large pan you need to turn it around half-way through the baking time. Cakes, brownies, chicken, pork chops, casseroles, etc. come out just fine.
The oven has a crumb tray that pulls out from the front. The cooking rack can be adjusted in 4 different positions. The door handle stays cool even if the oven has been on for 1+ hours. The convection fan is much quieter than our old Cuisinart. The oven is only 2 inches longer than our old Cuisinart and the depth and height are the same. So you get a much larger cooking space for the same footprint. It comes with a nice heavy 9×12 pan and round pizza pan. Being able to use the toaster oven with a large pan(instead of the large range) is a blessing in our southern summer heat.
Now for the not so good… The control buttons are flimsy, cheap plastic. They sit crooked and feel wobbly when you press them. And every time you press a button it beeps VERY LOUDLY. This oven is very complicated to use. You have to press multiple buttons every time you use it. To convection bake you must press Bake, Conv, Temp (to adjust) and then Start. Only after the oven preheats can you set the timer. You can’t use it without setting the timer. If you do, it remembers the amount of time used during its last cycle and will only stay on for that long. To toast you must press Toast, Temp (to adjust) and then Start. The toaster’s timer is pre-programmed by temp.
The exterior of this appliance is not stainless. I don’t know what it is. I set a warm pie plate on top and now the oven is marked with black streaks that will not clean off. The interior is slick black metal, I think. The rack seems to be stainless. I don’t think the included pans are stainless. This oven will truly hold a 9×13 pan if it does not have handles. Although advertised to hold a 12-inch pizza, it will not hold our 12-inch pizza stone. The oven’s highest bake temp is 450 degrees.
I expected more quality for the price. This oven should have cost $45 tops. When it breaks, and I’m sure it will within the first year - I’m going to buy a Cuisinart. I’ve learned it’s worth the extra money to get quality, ease of use, and reliability.

cuisinart black chrome toaster oven Interesting Guidepost
The product description says “spacious” and that is just NOT true at all. The interior is very small. Can only use one rack at a time. Not worth the price at all. Can get a much bigger one for this price of $99.
I bought it on sale for $41.50 and while it looks good on the outside, the inside is way too small for my needs. I do not see how it is possible to get 6 slices of bread in there unless you would totally overlap all of them. Interior width (left to right) is about 11 inches, wall to wall. Depth (front to back) is about 9 inches. You have about 3 inches (top to bottom- plus you have to consider the heating coils on top take away from this measurement, decreasing cooking space) of space to actually use for your baking pan or tray with food on it, on the rack. The wording on the knobs and buttons on my unit were crooked. The instruction/recipe booklet is a total joke. There are no diagrams/pictures as to how to insert the trays and pans. There is 1 picture of the unit, so if you are unfamilar with toaster ovens, you would be lost. I have looked at many online and many instore, but have never owned one. While it may not seem like it would be hard to figure out how to insert the trays and pans, it is. There is the crumb tray, the drip pan, the baking tray and the rack. The only way I can figure out how to use the drip pan is to lay it directly onto the heating coils. To me, that doesn’t sound right, but it is the only way it fits in there. And if you use that, you lose space for cooking. If you use the drip pan, then the rack sits crooked inside. You have to use the rack to use the bake pan. The rack sits crookedly or slanted no matter what, even if you only insert the rack, it is crooked. You can, of course, put the drip pan in the bake pan on the rack, which is maybe how you are supposed to do it. The instructions for use are lacking. This is just so totally not worth the price at all. For this price you can get the 3 tray counter top rotisserie/convection oven, which is what I originally wanted. The description leads you to believe you could bake a pie in here. Guess again. Not gonna happen. Unless it is a tiny pie and it had better not rise or you will be scraping off the roof of the interior. This was a bad purchase all the way around. I think the $99 price tag is grossly ridiculous for this thing. If you want to use it to make 2 slices of toast, and don’t mind paying $99 to do so, then this is for you. If you have hopes of doing ANYTHING else, buy something else.
EDIT: Ok, I took a minute to go check, to be fair, and you can get 4 slices of bread in there if you squish them all into the bake pan that the unit comes with. No way in heck that you are getting 6 slices in there unless you put 2 slices on top of each other and then it will touch the top of the oven. And I used regular bread, nothing fancy or oversized. This thing is a mess and the product description is NOT accurate at all!
This purchase was very disappointing to me. I have been wanting a toaster oven for so long. I had my heart set on a particular one, but have been waiting on a sale. I decided to buy this one thinking I would use it til I got the one I wanted, eventually. I can’t fathom keeping this even for the interim.
I am gonna upload pics, they might not be so good as I am using a 2mp cell phone cam. I don’t think they show the crooked wording well or the slanted baking rack.
I hope this review helps someone in one way or another.
Needless to say, this thing is goin back.

oster toaster oven convection Interrelated Information
I got this Oster oven mainly because of the red color, but also because of some of the positive reviews. I have used it to make toast, waffles, frozen pizza, french fries, and I found everything cooks quickly and comes out crispy. It is big inside too, with a rounded back to fit pizzas. It is easy to clean with the pull out crumb pan underneath. I have nothing bad to say about it!!

oster 6297 toaster oven Assistive Tip
So far my new Oster Toaster Oven has lived up to everything I expected. I have been using it for about a month now. It makes great toast, it has been very useful as a warming oven, and I have heated up items efficiently. I like the size—it is not too large, but still seems to have plenty of room for my purposes. I really like its appearance, too. The mechanical timer is a little odd, but I rather like hearing it because it is a reminder that it is on. Another feature that I love is the crumb tray—-very easy to clean. I wanted to keep from using my big oven all the time especially in the hot summer, and that is what I got. Plus, it toasts great!

krups convection toaster oven 4 Review
I pruchased this Krups 4-slice model to replace my old 2-sice B & D when my kitchen remodel was completed.
My new wall-oven is so huge I hesitate heating it up just for a pan of brownies. This toaster/oven is the perfect size for an 8 x 8 pan of brownies or whatever. In fact it will hold a whole 12″ pizza.
However, there are a couple of things about the Krups that bug me:
1. The shrill electronic beeps (FIVE OF THEM!) when the oven is started & when it finishes are so loud that people walking by my house can tell when I’m making toast in the morning. (And FORGET ABOUT SNEAKING THAT LEFT-OVER SLICE OF PIZZA AT 2AM!)
2. The oven rack doesn’t have a “stop thingy” like my wall oven to keep it from falling out onto the counter when I remove a baking pan. I’ve burned my hands more than once when this happens.
The Krups is a pretty good oven…. but not perfect.
UPDATE……BREAKING NEWS !!!!! (Well, it COULD HAVE MADE THE NEWS)
While making toast the other A.M. I toddled of to water the veg. garden & when I returned there were FLAMES INSIDE THE TOASTER!!!!!!
I was very brave….didn’t panic….just unplugged the unit, carried it outside, & waited for the flames to die down.
It seems that S O M E O N E …….the sig. other I’m sure…..neglected to keep the crumb tray clean. Oh dear, please be careful. Stand there & WATCH the friggin’ toast I guess.
Maybe I’ll check amazon reviews for pop-up toasters. THEY don’t catch fire…..DO THEY????????????????????
I’m gonna have to take back a couple of those STARS.
GO AHEAD & GET IT IF YOU WANT TO …….BUT BE PREPARED TO BABYSIT!!!

cuisinart tob 165 convection toaster oven broiler Related Hint
We’ve used this oven several times a day for several years. It saves a lot of use on our main oven and allowed us to eliminate the toaster in our kitchen. It’s more a small, full service oven than just a typical toaster oven. As a toaster it’s a bit slow but very effective with a lot of options.
It does have its flaws though. A small one is that the crumb tray pulls out from the back which means the oven must be moved. It would require a total re-design to correct that and it’s more a nuisance than a defect. A bigger one is that the glass door is not removable and it’s very difficult to keep clean in place. That would take a minor modification in design and should be corrected, so it could be cleaned in the sink. Another major one is the white metal and plastic exterior, which is impractical because of the continual exposure to high heat. The white, plastic control panel developed several cracks and partially peeled off after several months. Also the white enamel on the metal body deteriorated badly, also from the heat.
On the plus side, the stainless steel interior and broiler tray are well designed and easy to clean.
They have a newer, slightly larger model of the identical design and stainless steel exterior. We just replaced our old one with the newer model in the hope the exterior will hold up better. The larger size will fit a 12″ pizza, which might be useful too.
