I wanted a basic but reliable toaster oven. An older Black and Decker version we loved finally gave in and I purchased this one after reading one positive review. I absolutely hate this oven. The timer slips and stops clicking but does not turn the over off. It is a fire hazard. A few times the oven kept toasting and I finally noticed the smoke and burning smell. I usually use the “light” or “medium” setting but one of us has to literally stand next to the oven while toasting to manually turn it off. I wish I returned it right away.

bought mine from Bloomingdales for about $60 about 1.5 yrs ago. It stopped working on me last week. I don’t know why.
what i liked was the easy clean catch tray. the height had been less, it probably would have cooked toast faster. Think’ll I”ll go back to black & Decker’s $20 models when they come on sale again.

This toaster broke after just a short period of use. The temperature setting dial broke and it doesn’t work anymore. Worked OK when it worked, but due to flimsy manufacturing it will not last long. You get what you pay for for $15 right? I’d recommend one spend the extra $10 and get a sturdier construction and longer-lasting toaster.

I chose this toaster-oven based on the user reviews on Amazon for all the ovens I researched before buying. I was not disappointed. It heats up fast, it toasts well and it makes flawless frozen pizza. That’s all its been used for so far. Compared to its predecessor, a cheaper Euro-Pro, it is much faster and the settings are accurate. The only negatives are that the outside gets very hot (which most if not all do), it hums at 60 cycles when off, and the price (higher than nearly all others). In 2006, my husband and I received the Krups Convection Toaster Oven as a Bridal Shower gift. Since we got married, we’ve used this oven practically every day.
